Integrated Waste Management System – Materials Recovery Facility (IWMS-MRF)

COMPONENT NO. 1: LIQUEFACTION TECHNOLOGY Simple processes and operations to convert garbage into energy and reusable materials. Use of Liquefactor, which is a dissolver, pulper, separator, washer, and shredder in one reactor.

COMPONENT NO. 2: DOST-ITDI BIOREACTOR ACCELERATED COMPOSTING TECHNOLOGY A continuous in-vessel composting system designed to accelerate the decomposition of organic waste into a biologically stable material under controlled condition, thereby produce Organic Fertilizer.

COMPONENT NO. 3: SEPTAGE/WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND BIOMETHANATION (METHANE CAPTURE) FACILITY – Compact high-rate WTP/STP system designed for effluent standard compliance and water recycling/re-use purposes.

COMPONENT NO. 4: INDUSTRIAL AND HOSPITAL WASTE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL FACILITY – high thermal decontamination/destructive gasification of industrial and bio-medical waste into carbon char residue, indistinguishable from its original waste characteristics.

COMPONENT NO. 5: INERT MATERIALS CONVERSION/COMPACTION/ BRIQUETTING/CONCRETE BLOCKS PRODUCTION FACILITY – The non-recyclable materials will undergo further transformation by particle fixation-cementation process to produce concrete blocks or inert composite end product utilized in road and building construction purposes.

COMPONENT NO. 6: FOOD PRODUCTION, CASH CROPS AND FOREST BUFFER ZONE COMPONENT – this facility is designed to be the internal receptor/user of final products such as treated water and organic fertilizer.
